Overview
Parnia led AWARE I (2014) and is directing AWARE II, placing hidden visual targets above resuscitation areas to test if NDE patients can report their contents. AWARE I had one corroborated case. He approaches the question as a falsifiability problem: designing studies that could, in principle, confirm or refute survival of consciousness.
