Overview
Stevenson founded the Division of Perceptual Studies at UVA and spent four decades investigating children who spontaneously described previous lives. His method — interviewing families before any contact with the claimed previous family — remains the gold standard. He identified over 200 cases in which birthmarks or birth defects corresponded to wounds on the body of the claimed previous person.
